The Spring Break Recharge Tea

When life gives you lemons, you make.... lemonade? Nope! I know a majority of my readers were sunbathing and drinking those sugary summer cocktails on a hot and breezy beach this past week. Spring break was all fun and games, but has anyone felt sluggish or feel themselves catching a cold? This past week back in school has made me feel unmotivated, but I have just the recipe to share with you that helped me get back on my feet and ready to crush these last few weeks of class. So what's the tea?
When life gives you lemons, you make lemon-ginger green tea!
The lemon-ginger green tea with collagen is the perfect and tasteful combination to boost your immune system and feel recharged again!
Ingredients
Ginger- 1" root
Cinnamon- 1/4 tsp
Raw Honey- 1/2 tbsp
Organic Green Tea- 2 tea bags
Collagen - 1 scoop (optional but recommended)
Water- 2 cups
Lemon- 1/2 lemon
Instructions
Bring 2 cups of cold water under a boil on medium to high heat.
Add 1" of freshly peeled, sliced ginger root to the boiling water.
Add 1/4 tsp of cinnamon to the boiling water.
Add 1/2 tbsp of raw honey to the water and gently whisk.
Boil mixture for 4-8 minutes.
Place 2 organic green tea bags in your mug.
Strain boiled mixture over the tea bags.
Juice 1/2 of a freshly squeezed lemon.
Steep for 3-5 minutes.
Remove tea bags.
Add 1 scoop of unflavored collagen and stir.
Let sit for 3-5 minutes, then enjoy!
